We’ve heard of weird and unique flavours of ice cream before, like nasi lemak ice cream, tom yum ice cream and more, but this new ice cream flavour has been making heads everywhere turn.
Meat-flavoured ice cream.
And not just meat-flavoured, but it’s also made with meat.

Specialists at the Minsk Institute for Meat and Dairy have come up with a new and innovative ice-cream flavour and dubbed it “Ice Meat”.
“Ice Meat” consists of a mixture of meat and dairy products that gives the ice cream a “good amount of both protein and fat, with no added sugar in order to make it suitable for diabetics.”
According to Irina Kaltovich, a senior researcher at the meat product department: “The meat ice cream is a refreshing original healthy product that is perfect as a light snack.”

The institute released a video showing the finished product and… the Ice Meat looks just like you’d expect it to. Served out of an ice-cream machine, the ice cream looks to have a sludge-like consistency.
But what about its flavour?
Chief specialist of technologies for dairy production Grigory Pinchuk shared that while the ice cream has yet to have a distinct flavour, it could be improved and refined with different flavours for a better taste.
Grigory defended the new flavour saying that it “has the right to exist.”
The Ice Meat doesn’t just come in ice cream form. The scientists have made it so that the flavour is available as a sorbet or frozen yoghurt.
Irina added that the meat ice cream is also healthy thanks to the absence of sugar.
“The great advantage of the developed meat ice cream is the absence of sugar in its composition, meaning the product would be suitable for diabetics and other people unable to enjoy regular desserts,” she said.
