Okay, who else is having major Squid Game withdrawals and needs Season 2 right now? We’re positive it’s not just us!
It wasn't that long ago that Squid Game was confirmed for a second season and now, talk of a season three is already here!
In an interview with Korean broadcaster KBS, the series’ creator Hwang Dong-hyuk shared that he's currently speaking with the streaming giant about the show's future.
"I'm in talks with Netflix over season 2 as well as season 3," the 50-year-old said. "We will come to a conclusion any time soon."
“We are aware that everyone is waiting [for the next season to come out] so we’re all trying to think positively about the creation of the next season,” Hwang added, according to Kotaku.

Despite the series creator sharing that season 3 is in motion, Netflix confirmed that nothing has yet been set in place for the continuation of the thriller series.
"It's true that we are discussing a wide variety of possibilities for Squid Game, including the production of a Season 3, but nothing has yet been set in stone," the streaming service shared with People.
Hwang recently assured fans last month that a second season is definitely in the works after viewers had so many questions over the huge cliffhanger at the end of episode nine in Season 1, titled One Lucky Day.
"So there's been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season," he said. "So I almost feel like you leave us no choice! But I will say there will indeed be a second season. It's in my head right now."
"I'm in the planning process currently. But I do think it's too early to say when and how that's going to happen." Hwang added. “So I will promise you this... Gi-hun will come back. He’ll do something for the world.”

Season 1 ended with Gi-Hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) deciding not to board the plane to the US to visit his daughter, after he comes across the secret organisation’s scout luring in another potential contestant on his way to the airport. He seems set on revenge and could be looking to invade the new games.
Although the plot sounds fascinating, we are wondering how the show will work with the fact that it killed off most of the cast, including fan favourites like Ali, Sae-Byeok, and Il-Nam.
Either way, we can’t wait to see where Gi-Hun’s story takes us next!
Who’s ready to go back to the game?
