If you’ve just finished binge-watching the entire season three of Stranger Things, you’ll have as many questions as we do and possibly a whole lot of theories for the upcoming season.
Luckily for us, more episodes of the mind-flaying series could be coming our way a lot sooner than we thought.
According to Production Weekly, the series that takes place in Hawkins, Indiana, will begin production on its fourth season in October of this year!
Actress, Cara Buono, who plays Mike’s mum, Karen Wheeler, also confirmed the production start date recently saying, “We start shooting season 4 in October.”

If the fans calculations are to be trusted, we’re looking at a late 2020 release of season four!
Seeing how season three concluded, it seems highly likely that the Duffer brothers could be wrapping up season four and delivering it to us as a special Christmas present too.

But what can we anticipate for the already highly-anticipated season?
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Duffer brothers revealed that the entire series could be leaving Hawkins, Indiana.
“I think the biggest thing that’s going to happen is it’s going to open up a little bit, not necessarily in terms of scale, in terms of special effects, but open up in terms of allowing plotlines into areas outside of Hawkins,” Matt Duffer noted.
According to the pair, the fourth season already feels “very different” from season three.
