A recent study done by Picodi.com – a Polish international e-commerce platform; has found out exactly where the most romantic Malaysians reside in the country.

The platform conducted a research where they compared the increase in popularity of romantic queries that focused on various keywords used from January to February 2019.

Sourced from Google’s archived data, Picodi.com discovered that there had been a sharp increase in the frequency of search words or terms associated with Valentine’s Day, around the specific timeframe.

These keywords included phrases and words such as “Valentine’s Day”, “love confession”, “love” and “flowers” and more.

“After looking closely at Google’s figures, it turns out that the most romantic Malaysians live in Sarawak, Johor, and Sabah,” the website read.

“In these states, the increase in popularity of queries connected to Valentine’s Day was the highest,” the website continued. “It turns out that Sarawak, known for its beautiful natural treasures and thriving food scene, can add romantic as another hallmark.”

As can be seen, Sarawak leads as the most romantic state in Malaysia followed by Johor and Sabah respectively.

Unfortunately for those of you in Putrajaya and Kelantan, it looks like the month of love is not big amongst the residents, with the two states having the lowest interest in Valentine’s Day and anything romantically connected to the celebration.
