It's been a long wait for any sign of Game of Thrones' season 8, but finally, all our waiting has paid off. Here's the official first look.
Kit Harington's Jon Snow and Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen grace the cover of Entertainment Weekly and look rather regal in the first look of season 8.
Although the cover doesn't look much different from the season 7 cover, it's what's inside that counts too! The stars and executive producer, Bryan Cogman, teased a little about what's to come in the final six episodes!

Speaking to EW he said, "It's about all of these disparate characters coming together to face a common enemy, dealing with their own past, and defining the person they want to be in the face of certain death."
"It's an incredibly emotional, haunting, bittersweet final season and I think it honours very much what [George RR Martin] set out to do - which is flipping this kind of story on its head," he added.
The actors had to endure a gruelling 10-month shoot to create just six episodes. The cast and crew were obsessed to make every detail of the final hours as excellent as possible, EW reports.
Kit spoke about the filming of the final season saying, "It's relentless; scenes that would have been a one-day shoot five years ago are now a five-day shoot. They want to get it right, they want to shoot everything every single way so they have option."

Emilia added, "[Camera] checks take longer, costumes are a bit better, hair and make-up a bit sharper - every choice, every conversation, every attitude, has this air of 'this is it'. Everything feels more intense."
