According to recent reports, the highly anticipated Obi-Wan series from Disney+ has unfortunately been put on hold.
The series that was set to bring Ewan McGregor back to his iconic role as Obi-Wan Kenobi, was said to be apart of some troubling rumours last week which involved potential trouble behind the scenes.
While the series has not been cancelled, it has however been put on hold “indefinitely.”
Sources speaking to Collider also added that the crew that was assembled in Pinewood Studios in London, was sent home.

The Star Wars prequel series is said to be set eight years after the events of Revenge of the Sith with screenwriter Hossein Amini (Drive) and director Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian) at the helm.
Production on the series was supposed to begin soon but due to the delay, we don’t know just yet when we’ll be seeing the series.
Collider also reports that the series was put on hold because Lucasfilm president and Obi-Wan producer Kathleen Kennedy was not happy with the scripts.
“Sources tell us that what will most likely happen next is the scripts will be reworked with the hopeful goal of reassembling this summer, but there’s always the possibility that that timeframe could shift,” Collider reported.

Well at least the series’ producer is ensuring that the story is as good as it can get before rushing into production. We’ll wait to see what the end results of this delayment will be…
