The 2019 Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) is around the corner and we’re getting hyped. It’s the fashion week to look out for local designers and hey, even start that last minute planning on what you’re planning to wear for Raya.
This year, HUAWEI and KLFW are collaborating once again by offering an awesome opportunity for designers to have their design showcased at the event by joining its #WeAreNova contest.

Who is the contest open to?
You can join this contest whether you’re a professional designer, you just happen to love design, or even design students who are still in university.
What will I be designing?
You will design items based on the merchandise list which will be provided by KLFW. There are around 100 items for you to choose from including shirts, hoodies, pants, shoes, wallets and even smaller accessories such as flasks and lighters.
Your design must incorporate your interpretation of the HUAWEI nova element, which has four pillars: forward thinking, passionate, driven, and innovation. Play around with the logo and the colours – it’s up to you! Go wild!
Most important question: what are the prizes?
Cash money and HUAWEI nova phones await you!
Winner: RM3,500 and a HUAWEI nova
1st Runner-up: RM2,500 and a HUAWEI nova
2nd Runner-up: RM2,000 and a HUAWEI nova
7 Consolation prizes: RM1,000

Once you’re done with your masterpiece, e-mail your design to nova@klfashionweek.com.
KLFW will then reveal all the submissions via Facebook at 3pm on 26 May until 3pm on 31 May. Contestants must repost their entries from the KLFW Facebook page to gain Likes for their submitted design, mentioning the hashtags #WeAreNova #HUAWEInova #KLFW and tag @KualaLumpurFashionWeek and @HuaweiMobileMY.
Winners will be announced 3 June at 3pm!
