Imagine spending so much time, effort and money on creating something that you’re super proud of, only to have it be discarded, tossed aside and called “rubbish.”
We’d be heartbroken, and this girl definitely was too.

To celebrate and mark their six months together, a girl from Hong Kong decided to build her very own explosion memory gift box filled with memories of the two together for her boyfriend.
And we can tell you that it definitely does not look like something that’s easy to build by yourself. But this girl was determined and spent hours making one.

The girl had everything planned out. She went around shopping for all the arts and craft materials she’d need like papers, stickers and more; only to have her boyfriend ask her why she’s spending money on buying so much “rubbish.”
But still, the girlfriend kept on with her mission to create the perfect gift for her boyfriend, hoping that the gift would be as heartwarming as she planned.

On the day of their six-month anniversary, the girl was finally done with her masterpiece and presented it to her boyfriend. Instead of being thanked and appreciated for her hard work, her boyfriend simply took a look at the gift and said that the gift was impractical and called it “rubbish.”
Even when the girl told him that she had spent a lot of time creating the heartfelt explosion box, he told reiterated that it was “really rubbish” and asked her what he would do with such a gift.
The girl was shocked and understandably felt like bursting into tears when she heard her boyfriend’s reply.

Confused as to whether she had made a mistake in spending so much time and effort in creating the present, she shared her experience and asked if she was overreacting or foolish.
She noted that even in the past when she would make cards for him, he would ignore the gesture or not even take the time to read the message inside unless she was the one who opened it for him.

Clearly this girl’s gestures has been unappreciated and we really hope that one day she’d find someone who would appreciate her for all she’s worth.
