Now this is a story all about how a fan made a trailer and it’s all everyone’s talking about!

Will Smith’s Fresh Prince of Bel-Air first aired in 1990 and now, 29 years later, a fan has taken it upon himself to re-imagine the iconic series as if it were set in 2019.

The official video description reads: “What would happen if Will Smith made The Fresh Prince today? Bel-Air, a story of a kid from Philly whose life got turned upside-down… in 2019.

Just like the series’ iconic intro, the video opens with Will (played by Jerry Madison) shooting some hoops in West Philadelphia. That’s when the video stops following the original sequence and starts on a darker path.

Director/writer/cinematographer, Morgan Cooper, has blown away the internet with his recreation!

Morgan tweeted, “Like most 90s kids, I grew up watching Fresh Prince. Even as a kid, I always thought there was more to the story… so I decided to make this.”

The Internet responded with nothing but love and hopes that this would actually be made into a real movie!

What are your thoughts on this 2019 take of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? Do you love it or should they just stick to the original?
