The official portrait of Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will adorn public and private offices once again, 15 years since he left office. The prime minister led Pakatan Harapan to victory in the 14th General Election two months ago.

The Information Department photography unit’s official Facebook account posted some photos showing a smiling Tun M going through a selection of portraits. The department’s visual communications and graphics division director, Mohd Roffee Mohamad, was seen showing Tun M two shortlisted images for him to choose.

Tun M then put his signature on his preferred portrait.

History was made when Tun M became the oldest politically-elected leader in the world, and the first Malaysian to hold the prime ministerial post twice. He turned 93 today!
