The only Malaysian band present at the championships, Sri Dasmesh was led by pipe major Tirath Singh, drum sergeant Tripert Singh and mid-section head Sukhpreet Kaur.
The trio led their world-championship-winning band through 13 months of tireless practice. The band met three time a week for two hours plus where they perfected their craft together at the Sri Dasmesh International School in KL.
According to Tirath, this win is the band’s gift to Malaysia for National Day. He hopes all of us will be proud of their accomplishments and the band waved the Jalur Gemilang proudly as they received their prize.
