There’ve been a lot of throwback fashion styles recently that can certainly be called… interesting…
In the past couple of months, we’ve see fashion pieces such as the zip tie bracelet and the clothes-peg looking earrings go viral not only for their unique styles but also for their exorbitant prices.
Now, a new piece of jewellery has been introduced and it looks like an old-school phone cord that will easily set you back RM9,500.

Bottega Veneta, an Italian fashion house, recently launched a necklace that looks exactly like a curly retro telephone cord that used to be attached to landline phones.
The necklace by the luxury brand is available for pre-order on its Japan online store for 247,500 Japanese yen (RM9,540).
According to the site, the coil necklace is made out of enamel sterling silver.

The newly-launched “phone cord-looking” range also features earrings for $893 (RM3,634) and a ring for $556 (RM2,262).
Both earrings and ring are made out of sterling silver with an enamel and 18 karat gold finish and the earrings even come in red or “tapioca” colour!

The 90s vibes are certainly in fashion and it looks like this luxury fashion brand is definitely jumping on the bandwagon.
These designs definitely remind us not only of old-school phone cords but also of those phone-cord hair-ties that some of us still use now.
So instead of spending over RM9,000 on this throwback range, maybe you’d want to get yourself those hair ties and join the trend instead… they definitely cost less…
