If you’ve ever dreamed of taking your seat at the Senate Room in a galaxy far, far away, your time is here. Kinda.
A new cinema in Paris will make you feel like you’re part of the Star Wars galaxy with its uniquely designed seats and, it even looks like it practices good social distancing measures!
Oma Cinema in Paris is welcoming a “new era of cinema” by introducing a new concept of circular seating pods positioned above one another that will make you feel like you feel like you’ve transported right into the Galactic Senate.
There will be a limited number of seats in each booth, which in this day and age, is definitely a comfort for those who are concerned about your health.

Oma Cinema’s unique viewing experience is currently still in is concept stage but from the looks of it, it’s definitely one we’d travel galaxies just to enjoy.
“Whereas all the cinemas built for more than 50 years now are similar and reproduce the same seating arrangement for the audience, this concept of a movie theatre creates a cinematographic experience at the same time intimate, spectacular and immersive, where every seat in the house is the best seat in the house,” said Pierre Chican, cinema architect, founder and CEO of Oma.
Though it may still be in the concept art stage, Oma Cinema expects to launch its new cinema experience next year where there’ll be “VIP-Corporate hospitality boxes, table service on all or selected platforms and exclusive VIP access to the lounge.”
It’s “much more than just the spectacular nature of the architecture, the original configuration of the room ahs been designed to offer viewers an exceptional audio and visual experience, projecting an image free of any distortion,” the website reads. “Oma is an experience that you will never forget.”
While the design is definitely one to behold, many can’t get past the fact that the cinema resembles the Galactic Senate in the Star Wars universe.
