Having your sleep interrupted may be one of the most annoying things ever.
One streamer however has found a way to monetise his sleep, or… lack of sleep.

Twitch streamer, Asian Andy ended up making $16,000 (RM64,489) in one night by allowing people to pay to interrupt his sleep.
As gamers will know, the live streaming service was originally designed for gaming streams but Andy found a way to make money off of sleep streams.
Although Andy’s game plan to get his viewers to wake him up is not a new idea, the part where he makes money out of it is.

Viewers were able to pay money in exchange for some sort of noise that would keep Andy awake or wake him up if he fell asleep.
The 26-year-old’s stream saw him being disturbed by a variety of loud sounds including music, a dog barking, a voice reading out text, sirens, alarms and more.
According to Andy, he was able to make RM64,489 just from his seven-hour stream!

Previously, the record for money made via sleep streams was at $6,000 (RM24,180) but Andy’s RM64,489 stream now currently holds the record.
‘Last sleep stream world record was $6,000 (RM24,180). You guys… $16,000 (RM64,489)? I used to drive Uber man for $16 (RM64) an hour,” Andy shared. “I used to drive Uber, that’s all I would do and go to school. You guys made my life, seriously.”
