We’ve heard of ‘Bring Your Kids to Work Day’ but this lady in Bangkok is making every day “Bring Your Pet to Work Day”!

Recently, a photo of a street sweeper carrying her dog on her back while working in Thailand’s capital made its way around and captured everyone’s attention.

The adorable year-old Poodle-Shih Tzu mix named Mazda, is happily harnessed on his owner’s back and seems unbothered by passers-by and the surrounding traffic.

Mazda hangs calmly from a vest that’s attached to the back of his owner, like a backpack, while she sweeps the streets of a Bangkok suburb.

Owner, Thitirat Keowa-ram said, “I asked my boyfriend to buy me a dog to keep me company. My boyfriend agreed under the condition that I bring it to work.”

It has now been over a year since she first started bringing Mazda to work and together they’ve not missed a day.

Thitirat has kept her promise and carries Mazda around seamlessly even though the weight of the pooch pouch on her back is almost 10 kg!

She notes that passers-by are always amused by Mazda swaying happily and relaxing on her back and that they love and adore him.

In recent years, the bringing-your-dog-to-work trend has gained much popularity in Thailand, particularly in firms with irregular work hours. These companies have a dog-friendly policy and see it as way to alleviate employee stress.

We love Mazda and can’t get over his cuteness! Would you bring your pet to work if you could?
