While eating live octopus in Korea and Japan is considered a delicacy, this vlogger from China found out the hard way that it’s not as easy as looks.

A vlogger’s attempt at live-streaming herself eating a live octopus went horribly wrong when the animal decided to latch onto her face and refused to let go. The video of the whole incident went viral, of course.
The woman, who goes by “seaside girl Little Seven,” sustained minor injuries and can be seen struggling and screaming as she painfully struggles to remove the octopus whose tentacles were stuck onto her face.

The Chinese vlogger yells out that the sea creature’s suction was “painful” as she struggles to pry it off her face. When she finally does, the vlogger realised that a bloody cut was left by the tentacles on her cheek.
“My face is disfigured,” she cries in the video. But she quickly stares into the camera and tells her viewers that she will definitely “eat it in the next video.”
Viewers of the video that went viral called it “karma” because “seaside girl Little Seven” was attempting to eat the octopus alive.
Could this be the octopus’ revenge? Whether its karma or not, we strongly advise being cautious with whatever you’re attempting to eat, especially if it’s still alive! What was your reaction to seeing the vlogger and the octopus?
