There’s something therapeutic about looking at beautifully taken pictures on Instagram. At the same time, it also makes us want to take a vacation right away!
If you have the chance to go on that much-deserved trip, you can take pictures as the ones you like scrolling through during your free time. Here are some useful tips that’ll make your pictures amazing and your adventures unforgettable.
#1 Shoot in good light

Try to take pictures during sunset or sunrise. This is when you’ll get good light and exquisite colours for your photos—which you won’t get during other times of the day.
#2 Use the rule of thirds

The rule of thirds is a basic but extremely helpful composition technique, which helps you take ‘balanced’ pictures. Use the assistive grid on your phone and you’ll see two horizontal and vertical lines. Then, position elements in your picture along those lines or at the points where they meet.
#3 Be flexible and take photos from uncommon angles

Don’t just stand and shoot—try other things! Crouch down or climb up a hill. It’s your adventure and it’ll come off that way in your photos when you take the time to experiment.
#4 Get creative to turn up the mood in your photos

Think out of the box! You don’t only have to rely on what’s already there at the scene. You can also bring your own props; for example, fairy lights to create a magical vibe.
#5 Go to places where there are people

Landscapes are nice, but having people in your pictures will make it look more natural. And of course, you’d want your travelling companions to be in your pictures too to remember all the fun you’ve had!
#6 Do some research on your travel destination
Time to Google up! Find out places you want to go to and see how other people have taken photos of that place. Then you can start brainstorming to see whether you can get even better and more unique pictures yourself. You’ll reach your destination prepared and spend more time on your own activities instead of deciding what pictures you want.
#7 Make sure you have the right equipment to help you take your photos
