MCO 2.0 has just begun and in an effort to curb the continuously rising number of COVID-19 cases in our country, the authorities are cracking down on those who are flaunting and disobeying the rules.
Unfortunately, we’re still hearing about cases of those who are going out of their way to ignore the rules set in place.

Recently, the Info Roadblock JPJ/POLIS Facebook page shared a case about an elderly uncle who deliberately wrapped a towel around his wrist to hide his pink quarantine wristband in an attempt to enter the Kampung Pandan Muhibbah Complex.

The incident took place at around 3pm on 12th January when the security guard became suspicious of the uncle and his towel wrapped hand.
Upon further inspection, the guard found the pink bracelet and stopped the man from continuing on his journey.

Those who have visited the complex on 12th January or who work there, and are experiencing symptoms such as dizziness, coughing, or a sore throat, are adviced to immediately seek medical help.

Though we may not know the exact reason as to why the uncle was so persistent in breaking quarantine rules, we must remember that we must all be responsible in doing everything we can to stop the spread of the virus.
Stay home and stay safe during this time. Once the numbers go down, we’ll be allowed out again, we just have to be patient and considerate about those around us.
