Like it, hate it, or completely indifferent towards it, Virtual Reality – or VR as many of us know it – is the tech of the future that’s here to stay. And we’re not just talking the future of gaming either. VR technology is set to change the way we work, shop, and consume entertainment.

But being a piece of tech that’s relatively recent, people are still awkward and wary when using it, giving birth to some pretty interesting – and hilarious – reactions. And if something is interesting and hilarious, you know it’s going to be caught on video, and if it’s on video, then we’re gonna share it!

Some will laugh, some will cry, but almost everyone will scream. Here’s a compilation of VR reactions on the interwebs…

Adorable kids trying VR!

Who knew that kids could be more adorable then already are! Well, apparently all you need to do is strap a VR headset to their heads and let the good times roll. The little girl’s reaction at 5:03 is just waaaay too cute!

Teens trying VR

As of today, the most popular use of VR is in gaming, so obviously you gotta have a video of people reacting to VR games. Specifically, horror games, such as the highly recommended (on Steam) VR horror game, AFFECTED: The Manor. Looks pretty scary just seeing it on video, so you can expect some pretty good reactions from those playing it with a VR headset on. Leave your lights on, just saying.

Celebs trying VR

You know what they say, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy! And being a celebrity, they can’t afford to be dull! Between you and us though, we probably would have let go from the very beginning to swat away the bees.

Elders trying VR

Clever move, starting them off in a villa in Tuscany to give them that false sense of security! Although, they are taking the whole VR experience surprisingly well if you ask us. Maybe it’s because they’ve had more life experience and have seen things people younger than they are have yet to see.

Finally, this guy trying VR

We won’t spoil it for you, just watch his reaction in the video! You’ll have a good laugh!

What do you think your VR experience will be like? We think the next time you put on a VR headset, you could walk away with fantastic prizes!

In conjunction with the release of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, hitz fm is recruiting teams to participate in the Jumanji VR Challenge! All you gotta do is form a team of 2 people and upload a picture that show your best impersonation of surviving in the jungle by the 18th of December 2017!

The best 8 teams will be selected to out-survive each other in a VR challenge with the winning team walking away with a Sony Playstation 4 (PS4) VR set. Participants will also receive Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle movie season passes!

The standalone sequel to 1995’s Jumanji is an action adventure comedy film starring Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, and Bobby Cannavale.

In Jumaji: Welcome to the Jungle, 4 high school kids are sucked into the world of Jumanji, assuming the bodies of the avatars (played by Johnson, Black, Hart, and Gillan) they had chosen, when they discover and decide to play an old unknown video game console.

To beat the game and return to the real world, these unlikely friends will have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, finding out that you don’t just play Jumanji – you must survive it or be stuck in the game forever.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle hits cinemas near you on the 14th of December 2017. We’re excited, and so should you!
