We know, we know… Even though Game of Thrones has been over for months now, lately it seems like there’s just so much GoT news. Like the fact that the highly anticipated prequel got cancelled but House of the Dragon has been picked up, and that the showrunners recently walked away from the planned Star Wars trilogy.

Well honestly, we don’t mind and we know you won’t too because this new piece of information will finally be able to help us all sleep easier.

After the episode aired, the big question of “Who left the coffee cup in the shot?” was asked by fans all over the world and it didn’t help that even the cast was pointing fingers at each other!

After many months of questioning, we finally have an answer from the queen herself, and no, she wasn’t the actual culprit.

Emilia Clarke aka Daenerys Targaryen recently stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where she revealed who actually left the coffee cup in the scene.

After shooting down Sophie Turner’s accusations, she went on to spill the beans on the cup.

“So here’s the truth,” Emilia said. “We had a party before the Emmys, and Conleth, who plays Varys – who was sitting next to me in that scene – he pulls me aside and he’s like, ‘Emilia, I have got to tell you something, love. The coffee cup was mine.’”

GASP! That’s one secret Varys’ little birds didn’t spill!

“It was his!” the actress continued. “It was Conleth’s coffee cup! He said so. He said, ‘I think it was, I am sorry, darling. I didn’t want to say anything because it seemed the heat was very much on you,’ and I was like, ‘What!?!’”

Well, there you have it! After nearly six months, we finally have our answer!

Looks like Varys really does know how to keep his secrets…

Did you suspect that Conleth may have left the coffee cup before this? Who was your main suspect? Let us know!
