We’ve all done our share of stalking on social media. Whether it be to check out a crush, an ex or more, it’s safe to say that we’ve cyber stalked, within legal bounds of course.
However, stalking in real life will get you in trouble, and one woman has been arrested for stalking a police officer – who had previously arrested her for stalking someone else.

The Nara Perfectural Police in Japan recently arrested a 37-year-old woman who allegedly stalked a police officer who was stationed at the Nara Police Station in Nara City.
Kanaka Onishi who works as a part-time civic employee for Nara City, was reported to have met the police officer after he arrested her last year for stalking.
Kyodo News reported that Kanaka had allegedly violated her previous warning when she sent a letter to the assistant inspector.
“I want to enter to your family register,” Kanaka wrote in the letter. “I don’t want to live apart. I think I’m in love.”

Kanaka who lives in the Kyoto Prefecture was previously arrested for violating the Stalker Control Law and the assistant inspector who she sent three letters to, was in charge of the investigation.
In another letter, she asked the assistant inspector to “Marry me.”
After the letters, she was arrested again for violating the same law but this time, she was also handed an order to stay away from the assistant inspector.

According to the police, the assistant inspector is married and never engaged or instigated a relationship with Kanaka.
“I couldn’t rely on [the other police officers], so I relied on [the assistant inspector],” she said.

We know that everyone cyber stalks sometimes but please be sure to not cross the line to actual stalking.
Have you or someone you know ever been stalked? What did you/they do to get out of that unfortunate situation? Let us know!
