It’s pretty obvious that people are willing to go to extreme lengths to create content for social media.
Just because we want good content, it does not mean that you should hurt yourself or others, including animals, in the process.
One YouTuber learnt that lesson the hard way when he was arrested for animal cruelty after using helium balloons to make a dog fly.

Delhi-based YouTuber, Gaurav Sharma, was arrested by authorities after he uploaded a video of himself tying helium balloons to a small dog in an attempt to make it fly.
The dog, thought to be a Pomeranian, is believed to be owned by Gaurav and can be seen with several balloons tied to its back as the YouTuber stands on the roof a car, releasing it.
The pup is then seen floating in the air, next to a block of apartments.

Though the small dog was not hurt during the production of the video, many netizens expressed concerns that the dog’s life was in danger and asked for action to be taken.
A complaint was filed against the YouTuber upon the video’s release, to the Malviya Nagar police station and authorities then arrested the man for animal cruelty.

Gaurav, who has over four million YouTube subscribers, has since reportedly deleted the video but clips of his irresponsible actions still went viral.
In a statement, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Atul Thakur said:
“The complainant alleged that a person by the name of Gaurav Sharma had made a video where they were seen to have tied their pet dog with helium balloons and later they let loose the balloons thereby making the dog fly in the air and hence, risking its life. The video was shot on May 21.”
The DCP added that Gaurav had made the video for the sole purpose of uploading it to his YouTube channel and that an investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.

According to NDTV, the YouTuber uploaded another video of him apologizing for his actions following the controversy where he insisted that he had taken “all safety measures” while performing the stunt with his pet.
“Before making the video, I had taken all the safety measure,” he said. “I had said this in the video but did not upload this part as it would’ve increased the length of the video. It was a mistake on my part. All I want to say is that I had made the video with all the safety measures.”
He went on to further apologise to his subscribers and promised not to “try such things again.”

Please, please do not attempt a stunt like this, even if you think it’s “good content”.
No content is worth endangering your life or the life of others, including animals.
