Even as we come to the end of Game of Thrones, fans will be excited to know that the world of Westeros will live on.
It was recently confirmed that a Game of Thrones studio tour will be opening its doors in Northern Ireland in 2020!

HBO Licensing & Retail confirmed that the studio tour will open in Banbridge’s Linen Mill Studios next year. The immersive, 110,000-square-foot experience will “open Westeros to everyone” and showcase authentic sets, costumes, weapons and props from all eight seasons!
The tour “will drop fans in the very heart of the Seven Kingdoms,” as they relive important moments from the beloved series and “stand right where they took place.”

Fans can look forward to visiting the sets of King’s Landing, Winterfell, Dragonstone, The Wall, and even all the way across the Narrow Sea to Mereen and Braavos on the upcoming studio tour that will surely blow our minds.
HBO adds that the experience will include “a compelling mix of behind-the-scenes insights, interactive elements, and expansive, fully dressed sets.”

“A first-of-its-kind collection of informative displays highlighting the production spaces and the craftsmanship and artistry” of its creative teams will also be included on the tour.
A Make-up and Prosthetics Shop display is also planned for the tour.

Jeff Peters, the vice president of licensing and retail at HBO, stated that, “Some of the most iconic scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed at Linen Mill Studios and our fans will soon have an opportunity to visit and see the work of the show’s incredible crew in the museum setting it deserves.”

Managing director of Linen Mill Studios, Andrew Webb also said that the venue is “thrilled, in partnership with HBO, to have this opportunity to offer fans a unique insight into the making of the Game of Thrones series in the authentic setting of one of its foremost filming locations.”
“We are committed to giving fans the opportunity to experience firsthand the most comprehensive selection of iconic elements from the show available anywhere in the world,” he continued.
