Some of us are collectors. Stamps, coins, books, clothes - those are just some of the common things that many people collect, but one young artist has us all beat with her unique collection.

Her collection? All the mosquitoes she’s ever killed.

If you’ve been on social media recently, you would’ve have seen a new meme challenge going around – the “how it started, how it’s going” challenge.

Many people have been sharing pictures of their pets, homes, relationships, favourite series and movies but Twitter user @zynapsed aka Shreya took things to the next level by showing off her mosquito collection.

For her “how it started” image, the young artist shows off a single mosquito that she had managed to catch with the celebratory caption of “brooo I just caught a macchar [mosquito]”.

Her “how it’s going” picture however was one that captured the Twitterverse’s attention.

Shreya revealed her “macabre collection” in a gruesome looking exercise book with a page dedicated to over 80 corpses of squished mosquitoes, taped side-by-side in orderly rows.

Yes, we felt that chilly shiver too.

We’re still not sure as to why Shreya decided to pursue this unqiue hobby but some have suggested that she’s simply interested in entomology – the study of insects – or that she maybe has a personal vendetta against mosquitoes (and for good reason).

Others are impressed by her mosquito collection and even want to start their own collections!

We’re definitely disturbed and impressed by Shreya’s unique pastime!

Do you or someone you know have a weird or perculiar collection? Let us know what it’s of!
