With more and more people around the world staying in their homes to help stop the spread of COVID-19, many celebrities have been taking to social media to not only help keep people entertained in their homes but also to raise funds.
The cast and crew of many of our favourite shows and movies have been having virtual reunions and tbh, these have been giving us life!
Now, another series has been set for a reunion, and it’s none other than Community!

It’s been five years since the last episode of Community aired and fans are excited to have the cast reunite for the very first time since, even if it’s virtually!
According to Variety, the cast will be doing a virtual table read and Q&A session in order to raise funds for COVID-19 relief efforts.
The reunion special will be held on Sony Pictures TV’s Community YouTube page on 19th May, at 5am, Malaysian time, so you might wanna mark that down in your calendars.

The cast is set to do a virtual table read of “Cooperative Polygraphy”, the fourth episode of season five. For those who don’t fully remember, this is the episode where the study group gathers after Pierce’s (Chevy Chase) funeral and takes place mostly in the Greendale Community College library.
Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong and Donald Glover are set to return for the table read and this reunion marks the first time Donald has been part of a Community event since he left the series in season five.
The show’s creator and producer, Dan Harmon will also be joining virtual table read.
What’s more? If you’ve always had a question about the show or something you’ve wanted to ask the cast, Variety notes that “fans can submit their questions on social media using #AskCommunity and tag @CommunityTV”, for the Q&A.

Through the event, fans will be able to donate to two charities: José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and Frontline Foods, both of which are “involved in COVID-19 relief efforts to get fresh, nourishing meals to responders working on the frontlines and vulnerable communities across the country.”
Sony Pictures Television will be contributing to these charities on behalf of the Community family while fans can do their part by heading to wck.org/community.
