Ariana Grande, who earned three Grammy nominations this year for her seventh studio album Eternal Sunshine, chose to skip the 67th Annual Grammy Awards for the fifth year in a row. Despite being nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Dance Pop Recording, Grande was noticeably absent from the event. Her last appearance at the Grammy Awards was in 2020.

Although Grande was not present, her Wicked costar Cynthia Erivo graced the stage, delivering a special tribute to the late Quincy Jones.
Grande's Eternal Sunshine, released in March 2024, marked her return to music after a three-year hiatus. This album not only garnered her three Grammy nominations but also saw major success. Her achievements, however, are overshadowed by her role as Glinda in the Wicked movie, which premiered in November 2024. The pop star has been deeply immersed in her acting project, and in a heartfelt Instagram post shared in November, she thanked her fans for their patience and support throughout her time away from the spotlight.

In the post, Grande expressed her gratitude for her dedicated fanbase, saying, “I know I disappeared into this project for a long, long time (I believe you called it 'the drought'!) and I know that was hard for you all.” She also acknowledged her supporters for helping her heal and grow over the years, adding, “You have held my hand and helped mend my heart time and time again, and I would never be here without you.”
Though absent from the Grammy stage, Ariana Grande’s fans continue to support her journey as she balances her successful music career with her evolving acting endeavors.
