Ashley Tisdale recently revealed that her 3-year-old daughter, Jupiter, had an unexpected reaction when watching High School Musical for the first time. Jupiter hilariously mistook Zac Efron, who played Troy Bolton in the iconic Disney movie series, for her father, Christopher French.

“She has seen High School Musical—I think about a year ago,” Tisdale, 39, shared during her January 15 appearance on the Breaking Beauty podcast. “My husband showed it to her, and she thought Zac Efron was her dad.” Tisdale laughed as she explained, “She’s like, ‘Daddy!’ I was like, ‘No, no, no.’ Just because they both have dark hair.”
Jupiter’s fascination didn’t stop there. The Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure star also shared that her daughter was thrilled to see her mom appear on a livestream of the Wicked movie premiere in November. Despite Tisdale not being involved with the production, Jupiter was overjoyed.
“She’s like, ‘I gotta see mommy on carpet! I gotta see mommy on carpet!’” Tisdale recalled fondly. “That’s the most exciting thing to her—that I’m on a carpet at the Wicked premiere. It’s so funny. She’s just so proud. It’s really cute.”

Tisdale and French, who also share a 4-month-old daughter, Emerson, are watching as Jupiter begins to grasp her mom’s fame. “She doesn’t quite understand what I do for a living yet,” Tisdale explained. “But she’s starting to get to the age where she’s questioning things.”
A memorable moment occurred in October, when the family attended a Taylor Swift concert in Miami. Tisdale recalled how fans approached her for photos, which puzzled Jupiter. “She was like, ‘Mommy, why are they taking pictures with you?’ And I truly didn’t know how to answer that,” Tisdale admitted. “So I just said, ‘I don’t know.’”
Jupiter, however, seems to have her own theory about her mom’s celebrity status. Tisdale added, “I think she actually believes that taking pictures with people is just what you do in life.”
