The story of the popular Attack On Titan series is coming to an end this year!
The final chapter of Attack on Titan was confirmed to run in the May issue of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine and will be released on 9 April 2021 in Japan!
The 34th and final collected volume of the manga series created by Hajime Isayama will be released on 9 June 2021, 11 years after it was first serialized.
“I’ve been saying for the last eight years that I’d finish [Attack on Titan] in three years, and finally, it seems like it will be completed,” Hajime Isayama said.
“It’s been a very long time coming, but I hope you’ll stick with me until the end.”
“The editorial team never rushed me to finish the series, but I’ve been continually asked “when will it end?“. Thank you for waiting for me.”
Hajime previously said that the manga was one to two percent away from being finished, and publisher Kodansha said that there are numerous projects in the works coming with AoT manga’s conclusion.
“I will do my best until the last page so you will feel satisfied with what you’ve read,” he added.
Many fans are sad that the manga is coming to an end, but many rather have a fitting end to the manga series than “being milked for eternity”.
The Attack on Titan’s anime is also in its final season, with a total of 16 episodes.
If you’ve been reading the manga series, you might want to take it slow and savour it because you’ll only get four more chapters!
