baby elephant adorably hides behind pole after caught eating sugarcane

The cheeky baby elephant was eating the sugarcane in a village before it was spotted and as the villagers were getting close it rushed off to find a hiding spot.

It then came to the conclusion to hide behind an light pole so that the villagers wouldn't be able to see it and it’s the cutest thing!

The elephant was said to have stood perfectly still as two villagers shone a light on the “hiding spot”, in hopes that it would not be spotted.

The incident took place in Ching Mai, Thailand and has gotten the attention of the internet after it’s picture was posted online.

Elephants can sometimes cause conflict for farmers but they are protected in Thailand after the species was listed as endangered in 1986.

Offenders that were found killing elephants can carry a maximum jail time of up to three years and a RM136 (1,000 baht) fine.

This baby elephant definitely made our day better and we hope people will continue treating the majestic creature with love and care!
