Some of us are lucky enough to have bosses that care for their employees but this woman found out that a gift her boss presented to her, had alternative motives to it!
An employee in China shared that it had come to that time of the year where their company gave out employee bonuses and her boss decided to gift everyone with an extra high-tech seat cushion to reward them for their hard work.
She said that her boss loves high tech gadgets and the seat cushion that was given had the ability to let the user monitor their sitting activity and receive other health notifications… but little did they know the company was also monitoring them with it!
The employee found out that the seat cushion was also sending their seating activities to the company. It recorded when she went to the pantry and she only found out about it when a colleague from the human resources department asked her why she was not at her seat from 10am to 10:30am every day.
The colleague jokingly warned her that she should be careful if she doesn’t want to get a pay cut and that’s when she found out that all the stats collected from the seat cushion was also monitored by her boss!
“All the data from the seat cushion can all be seen clearly by the boss,” she wrote.
Many netizens were shocked by her discovery with many others revealing that they were being monitored in worse ways like having to scan their fingerprints just to go to the toilet, having their laptops remotely monitored, restrictions from using their phones at work and more!
“I remember there was once years ago when my mom asked me to check something for her at work and I was called up by the human resources department that afternoon itself,” one user said.
