A little boy recently saved his sister from a dog attack and was praised for being a real-life hero and Chris Evan decided to give him a real Captain America shield for it!
The 6-year-old boy rescued his 4-year-old sister from a charging German shepherd mix but suffered serious damage to his cheek and underwent a two-hour surgery that requires more than 90 stitches and said, “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.”
His aunt decided to share the boy’s brave act on Instagram and added that he’s a huge Marvel fan and got the attention of many celebrities, including Captain America!
Chris Evans reached out to the little boy with a video message saying, “hey Bridger, this is Captain America here, how you doing, buddy?”
“I read your story, I heard what you did [and] pal, you’re a hero. What you did was so brave, so selfless, your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother.”
He also revealed that he will be sending an “authentic” Captain America shield to thank him for his bravery saying, “keep being the man you are, we need people like you.”
“I know recovery might be tough, but based off of what I've seen, I don't think there is much that can slow you down.”
Other celebrities like Mark Ruffalo, Tom Holland, Hugh Jackman, Zachary Levi and directors the Russo brothers also sent private messages and comments for the boy with Anne Hathaway writing, “I’m not an Avenger, but I know a superhero when I see one” in her post!
It’s nice to see the world come together to celebrate the act of one real-life superhero!
