We often watch movies where the bride leaves the groom at the wedding but leaving the altar for a maths related question might be a new one.
A couple was recently getting married in India when the bride decided to leave the groom after he failed to answer a simple mathematic question.
The bride reportedly asked the groom what’s the answer to “15+6” to which he answered 17 and that’s when she decided to leave.
The groom’s family tried to convince the bride to come back and finish the wedding ceremony but she stood her ground.
The bride’s reason is that the groom had lied about his academic level and the bride’s father, Mohar Singh said, “the groom’s family have hidden information regarding his poor education. Even a Standard One student can answer it with ease.”
The incident took place in the village of Rassolabad that’s located in the industrial city of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh and the local police got involved to take action on the matter.
In the end both families agreed to return all the wedding gifts and dowry that were given.
This is not the first time a wedding incident had happened in the same village. A month ago another bride decided to wed a wedding guest after the groom had a seizure and had hidden his epileptic issue from her.
Who would’ve thought that one would need to pass a math test in order to get married! Do you know any other wedding runaway stories?
