As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, owner Peet Sapsin said that the gym had been forced to shut for three months.
‘It’s been really tough, we weren’t sure if we were going to be able to reopen again,’ he said to KLTA. ‘But because now that we’ve come up with this solution, it’s a lot more affordable and, now, we can reopen back up a little more safer and healthier for our clients.’
The gym is only able to operate at half its usual capacity at the moment, allowing just nine people in to use the equipment at once. In order for things to be fair to gym lovers who can’t wait to head back, the gym requires that they must book their appointments ahead of time.
The gym’s staff all follow the proper safety protocols by wearing face masks and staying one meter away from the gym goers. Antibacterial wipes and hand sanitisers are also used all the time.
The staff also regularly clean everying from machine surfaces to doorknobs to countertops and vending machines. Locker rooms, showers and chinging rooms are also kept clean at all times.
However, for safety reasons, the gym has kept the saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs closed, as the heat makes them a breeding ground for bacteria.
These gym pods are definitely inventive and innovative!
