Pet owners will know that our pets are our lives and we, are their whole lives too.
When a pet dies, it’s definitely heartbreaking but what we don’t realise is, it’s equally as heartbreaking for a pet when its owner passes away.

The internet’s heart broke recently when a cat from West Java, Indonesia went viral for mourning the death of its beloved owner.
In a Tik Tok video posted by Putri Yunita, she shared that Tatan the cat was deeply saddened by the passing of its owner and was seen sleeping on its owner’s bed and even sitting next to her grave.

Speaking to Tribunnews, Putri – who is the sister-in-law of Tatan’s late owner, shared that the cat had been crying since the day its owner passed away.
“My sister-in-law looked after Tatan for seven years and they both had a very close bond,” she said.
“And when she passed away, the cat had been crying as seen by its tears.”

After her sister-in-law’s passing, Putri brought Tatan to her grave.
“But when I brought Tatan to her grave, it just sat there and stopped crying,” she noted.
According to Putri, the cat had never had any eye problems nor sensitive eyes, it in fact, has always been healthy. The tears coming from Tatan were real tears of sorrow.
Many netizens were touched by Tatan’s relationship with its late owner with some sharing their own experiences with their pets.
Ngl, our hearts broke for Tatan too.
We hope the cat will well-looked after by its other family members.
