Chaleeda Gilbert may only be 16 years old, but this Thailand-born YouTube star is building traction, fast.
Starting her singing career at the tender age of 11 with ‘Tweenie 90s’, a Thai tween girl group, the artiste of Thai-British parentage then moved on to YouTube where she wow’ed viewers with her cover of Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’ which garnered over 1.2 million views in just 5 days.
This success caught the attention of Rocketfuel who immediately flew her over to Malaysia to get her signed with them. Since then, Chaleeda has released two singles; ‘Ready For Love’, her collaboration with Thailand’s hottest rapper Twopee, and “Mind Over Matter”, her newest single produced by Malaysia’s very own SonaOne.
This Thursday, 14th of December 2017, let this songstress please your ears with her sweet as honey voice at her first ever showcase in Malaysia. Her performance is rumoured to be a little different from normal concerts. We don’t know much, but we do know that Chaleeda will be accompanied by dancers and band so expect something out of the ordinary.
The set will comprise 2 covers and 3 original songs and will be held at The Bee, Publika at 8pm.
