Everywhere we turn, news about the Covid-19 outbreak is taking over all the headlines. And for good reason.
As more and more cases of infection makes its way around, people have been taking various different and creative measures to protect themselves from the virus.
This lady took protection to the next level with an inflatable giraffe costume!

A woman in China has come up with perhaps the most creative way to fight Covid-19 and the internet is loving her methods!
Whilst visiting a hospital in Luzhou city, in Sichuan province to collect medication for her parents, the woman, surnamed He, in lieu of facemasks/goggles and donned an inflatable giraffe costume instead!

The Daily Mail reports that He was also at the hospital to pick up her uncle who was to be discharged that day.
Besides waddling around in the giraffe costume that covered her from head to toe, He was also seen wearing gloves and plastic coverings.
Speaking to Pear Video, she said that she had no choice but to resort to the creative measure to protect herself as she was unable to purchase more face masks. Due to high demands, China has been experiencing major shortages in masks and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
He also noted that she had bought the unforgettable costume online and has an inflatable alien costume as a spare as well.
As the rest of her family members are elderly, He is the only one fit enough to leave the house to run errands and shop.
While we love He’s costume, unfortunately experts have noted that inflatable costumes are not able to protect someone from being infected and the costume needs to be disinfected after each use.
He definitely did not “care what others think [of her]” in her creative giraffe costume as long as she was still able to run her errands and protect her family from the infection.
If only these inflatable costumes were able to protect us from COVID-19! Imagine everyone walking around in different inflatable costumes instead of masks! That’d definitely be a sight to see!
