We love animals and it completely breaks our hearts to hear about reports of animals being abused in the worst ways.
Recently, a dog tied-up in a plastic bag was found but luckily a delivery rider managed to save it before it was too late.

Rozaidi Hashim was waiting to pick up his next delivery when he witnessed an unbelievable scene.
According to the Malaysia Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) Facebook group, the delivery rider was almost in tears when he called to ask for help after seeing two men dump a dog that was tied-up in a big plastic bag, at a dumpster in Jalan Cheras.
“They dumped the dog and took off,” Rozaidi said. “I rushed to the dog and noticed that it had a massive wound in its neck.”
The delivery rider quickly untied the transparent plastic bag and gave the dog some water before contacting the canine rescue group (MDDB) for help.

“I was almost in tears seeing the scrawny dog’s pitiful condition,” Rozaidi shared. “How could people dump a sick dog like garbage?”
Upon receiving the distress call, MDDB immediately sent a volunteer to the location, and by then dog – who had been removed from the plastic, had taken refuge under a drain.
The Fire and Rescue Department were then called for further assistance in rescuing the injured doggo.
“Our volunteer called the area’s Fire and Rescue Department and firement managed to get the dog and hand it over to her,” MDDB’s director and rescue coordinator Irene Low said.

The poor doggo was taken to the St. Angel Animal Medical Centre in Puchong after it was rescued and besides being emaciated and anemic, the dog was found to have a seriously infected maggot wound in its neck.
The wound is suspected to have been caused by a tight chain around its neck.
“We suspect this is a factory dog that sustained injury to a tight chain around the neck,” MDDB wrote. “The heartless humans must have dumped it like garbage because they did not want to spend money on treatment.”
The dog – now given the name Rozi by the MDDB; is currently undergoing treatment at the veterinary clinic.

Upon returning home, Rozaidi lodged a police report at the Bukit Sentosa police station in Rawang, which is near his home.
Irene shared that she hopes more people would do the same if they come across similar situations.
“You can lodge the report at your nearest police station,” the MDDB director said. “We must ensure this atrocity and act of extreme cruelty towards the dog is addressed.”
