Diana Chan, a Malaysian born but currently Melbourne based accountant has taken home the 2017 MasterChef crown by beating Ben Ungermann in a surprise one point lead.

After winning the grand prize of $250,000, her dream to open up a restaurant is turning into a reality.
"I definitely want to have Malaysian influences," she said. "But balanced, wholesome and delicious – that's my criteria."
