Dogs are known to be loyal and protective, and one Malaysian dog proves just that after dying trying to protect his family from a venomous snake.
The dog’s act of heroism went viral after the owner posted about how the dog named Chiko died fighting a deadly poison snake in the dining room.
The family tried to “pull him out of the area” but it “seemed almost impossible as he never backed off.”
The owner, Alice said that Chiko kept fighting and refuse to let go until “the snake died and quickly moved over” to their car porch as he “took his final breath”.
“He saved us but unfortunately we couldn't save him,” the post wrote.
Alice mentioned that although he’s “just a local breed” and many people “claimed him as a very aggressive dog”, he meant so much to the family. The dog is also revealed to have been with the family for six years.
“Truly our best dog ever. You will be forever in our heart Chiko. Till we meet again in a better place.”
"Goodbye and rest in peace Chiko.”
Many netizens were heartbroken over Chiko’s selfless act and sent their well wishes and praise to him.
Anyone who had to go through the death of their pet knows how much it hurts to lose them. Rest in peace, Chiko.
