Doggos are always loyal and would do anything to protect their family, and this dog died protecting his family from a poisonous snake.
The Malaysian husky named Daibao went viral after he died protecting his family from a venomous cobra snake.
Daibao engaged in a life-and-death battle with the four feet long snake after it entered the family’s home in Taiping, and was unfortunately bitten in the fight.
After killing the snake, the family immediately rushed him to the veterinary clinic, but unfortunately, the poison had taken over and he eventually took his last breath and passed away.
The owner revealed that the daughter had heard the dog barking outside the house before noticing that it was bleeding from his nose after getting bitten by the snake.
Daibao used to be a stray dog but was taken in by the family after the owner saw a post on Facebook asking if anyone wanted to keep a dog that was abandoned and left to death with serious skin infection, even weighing as light as 14.6kg.
The family managed to nurse the doggo that was initially afraid of human contact, and it managed to recover and got along with the family after three months.
The owner said that some friends pointed out that it was Daibao’s way of repaying the family after they rescued him, but “we never would’ve wanted him to repay us this way, and only wish he could be safe and stay in our lives every day until the end of his road.”
The family revealed that they buried the dog under Daibao’s favourite tree that he loved playing around.
Netizens are heartbroken after seeing the news about what happened to the husky and all expressed their condolences, praising him for his brave and selfless act.
Anyone who had to go through the death of their pet knows how much it hurts to lose them. Rest in peace, Daibao.
