Malaysia found a hero in Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham during the pandemic with him previously being recognised as one of the world’s top doctors in the fight against COVD-19… and now he’s being awarded for his contributions!
Dr Noor Hisham has been awarded with the title “Tan Sri” by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in conjunction with his birthday at the 2020 Federal Awards!
The Malaysian hero who has been praised for his contributions on Malaysia’s COVID-19 battle, remained humble when asked about the award and said that it’s not just for him, but it’s also an honour to all the frontliners and staff from the Health Ministry.
“This is an honour given to all frontliners from the Health Ministry,” he said. “This also shows the trust and appreciation from the government for our civil servants.”
Apart from Dr Noor Hisham, a large number of frontliners and MOH staff were also awarded with various medals.
This includes frontliners from a wide range of backgrounds from physicians, health workers to health support staff such as drivers, assistant administrative officers and health care assistants.
Malaysians are happy to see Dr Hisham being recognised for his tireless efforts and contributions to Malaysia and congratulated him all over social media!
