Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift may not see each other often, but their friendship is still going strong more than a decade after it began. In a new episode of Call Her Daddy, the "Perfect" singer reflected on his longtime bond with Swift, sharing that despite their busy lives, they stay close.

“I see her when I see her,” Ed said. “I probably see her, like, four times a year. But when we do, we have proper sit-down, six-hour catch-ups.”
The pair first connected in the early 2010s while touring together during Swift’s Red era. “I lived in Nashville, and she lived in Nashville,” Ed recalled. “We used to fly to and from the gigs together... I literally spent almost every single day with her for about six months.”

Their deep connection has continued through the years, even during challenging times. Reflecting on the copyright trial over his song "Thinking Out Loud," which he won in 2023, Ed said he leaned on Taylor for support.
“I have long, long, long conversations with Taylor about stuff just because I feel like she’s one of the only people that actually truly understands where I’m at,” he told Apple Music's Zane Lowe at the time. “It’s kind of therapy… because you’re talking to someone that genuinely gets it.”
Most recently, the two reunited backstage at Swift’s Eras Tour stop in London in August 2024.
