Warning: Spoilers Ahead
There were some unexpected occurrences in the last five episodes of Money Heist season 5 and if you haven’t watched them, we recommend turning away, now.
One twist that’s definitely worth mentioning in the final episode was the Professor and the police inspector, Alicia Sierra teaming up.
When the official trailer was released in November, fans were already aware that the Professor would surrender himself in front of the military, however, they did not expect Alicia to be in charge of recovering the gold while the Professor was gone.
Fans took to Twitter to praise Alicia for her performance in the final episodes
“Alicia Sierra has stolen the hearts of many for this last season and she carried it well,” a fan tweeted.
“Professor and Alicia duo is bestest part of this season,” added another. “Alicia Sierra definitely carried the whole season 5 part 2 !!!! pls she slayed every scene,” a third fan said.
Another fan also suggested that the producer of Money Heist work on another season, specifically centered on seeing the Professor and Alicia combining their intellectual minds and planning a heist together. “Alicia Sierra and Professor would've been the perfect pair of great minds for another heist? Can we have another season, please,” the fan tweeted.
A number of fans also stated that Money Heist’s finale fulfilled their expectations. They felt that the characters received the ending sthey deserved.
“Money Heist S5's ending has to be one of the best endings of a TV show to ever exist. ‘The dream never ends,’” a fan tweeted.
“Finally Money Heist marathon is completed. A well written series with some extra ordinary actors. A happy ending. Also didn't (spoil the show for) all their fans like @GameOfThrones did. Farewell @lacasadepapel,” another viewer said.

Although Money Heist has reached its ending, the producers announced earlier this week that a spin-off on Berlin's character, played by Pedro Alonso, is in the making and it will arrive on Netflix in 2023. A Korean version of the series is also in production.
We can’t wait to see what the producers will come up with next! Have you seen the final season of Money Heist? Let us know your thoughts on it!
