Cats are adorable but sometimes we just can’t seem to figure what they want… but not anymore!

An engineer named Javier Sanchez has created an application that allows you to translate your cat’s meow and it’s time to finally understand your feline friend!

The app called MeowTalk was created by the former Amazon engineer and aims to translate your cat’s meow into English.

Translations from the app includes, "I'm hungry," "I'm happy," "I'm in pain" and more!

"I worked in the machine learning platform team at Alexa for a while," Javier Sanchez said.

"And I got to see how the sausage was made, how they train their models and work with all the data science platforms. So I was fresh off the heels of that and I was thinking, ‘Well, we could do something similar with cats and it could be an app.'"

The app has been released for iOS and Android users but is still in beta version and encourages users to improve the app with feedback on whether the translation is considered to be right.

Cat owners who feel like the proposed nine translation from the app doesn’t correspond to what their means can also add their own translations!

"A tool like this can help certain people bond even more with their cats,” Javier said explaining that the app could be beneficial during COVID-19 lockdowns worldwide.

“Especially if they can't be in contact with other people on a regular basis. So this could be a real game changer for a key demographic that have cats."

If you think the app is cool, Javier is also developing a smart collar similar to the one that Doug the dog wore in the movie Up that could translate cat sounds into human language!

Imagine a future where cat owners can communicate with their cats! That is if your cat is not as evil as they all say…

What are your thoughts on the app? Let us know!
