Countries around the world have been getting creative with social distancing measures with the ongoing pandemic and a new way to watch movies is coming to Paris!
The city of love just got a little more romantic with a new setup coming for people to enjoy watching movies with a floating movie theatre in socially-distant boats in Paris!
The French cinema chain Mk2 created the Cinéma sur l’Eau, aka cinema on the water to celebrate theatres reopening in the country.
The event will be held on July 18 with 150 viewers on boats and another 150 on deckchairs on land to watch the movie, Le Grand Bain from a big screen!
The screen will be set up along the Seine and the Bassin de la Vilette, the biggest artificial stretch of water in Paris linking the canal de l’Ourcq to the canal Saint-Martin.
Each boat will have seats for four to six people and must be with family or friends to avoid having the risk of virus spreading to strangers.
People in Paris can enter the event for free by entering a raffle that will run till July 15! Maybe just make sure you don’t have motion sickness if you want to get on the boat…
Would you attend the floating cinema? Let us know if you want to have this in Malaysia!
