In an exclusive preview of National Geographic’s new series No Taste Like Home, Florence Pugh uncovers a shocking family secret. The 29-year-old Oscar nominee, joined by host Antoni Porowski, embarks on a global journey to explore her family history through food.

In the clip, Porowski reveals that Pugh’s great-great-great-grandmother, Johanna, married a Welshman named Louis Pugh, giving rise to the actress’s last name. The moment takes an emotional turn when Porowski presents Pugh with an official document showing the birth of an ancestor named Florence Pugh, born on November 25, 1882.
“I was named after the city. My mom’s gonna scream,” Pugh exclaims, revealing that her parents had no idea about this ancestor.

The series also features other celebrities like Awkwafina, Justin Theroux, and James Marsden, who trace their heritage through food traditions, shedding light on how these culinary stories shape their identities.
