From 120kg To Triathlon, 22yo Malaysian Exercises 3 Hours A Day And Lost 48kg!

It’s never easy to stick to a strict routine, but this 22 year-old Malaysian man proved that if you really want it, you can get it!

Bruce Tan said that he has always been overweight ever since he was little and decided to lose weight after being laughed and shunned at in school.

After three years the once 120kg Bruce managed to lose 48kg! He started with a strict diet from eating oats for breakfast and zero carbs at night to minimizing oily food intake and late night suppers.

He would weight himself every day and tell himself that the numbers be less than the day before.

Bruce started joining the IRONMAN Triathlon, which requires participants to swim for 3.8km, cycle for 180km and run for 42km! He was recently placed number 9 in the IRONMAN Langkawi Triathlon and completed it in 12 hours and 44 minutes!

He’s now aiming to join the IRONMAN World Championship and is exercising at least 3 hours a day and resting one day a week. We believe that he can achieve it given his determination!
