A Malaysian girl that initially thought she was going to spend her birthday alone in quarantine after she was in contact with someone that was tested positive for COVID-19 got a surprise from our frontliners!
The student named Khiera posted the video of the frontliners surprising her with a birthday cake at her room while singing happy birthday to her and it’s the sweetest thing!
“Thank you to our cute and kind frontliners abang and akak, I love you all,” she wrote in the caption with crying emojis and Malaysians are touched with the frontliners’ thoughtful act.
“I’m touched because they are still making others happy despite feeling so tired.”
The box came along with a note the says, “we hope you continue to stay strong through any obstacles and difficulties you’re facing. We love you.”
She revealed that her university’s deputy chancellor asked how the students who were quarantining felt a few days before the surprise and she expressed how she was feeling a little sad that she will be celebrating her birthday alone in her room.
And on the day of her birthday, the frontliners that were distributing food knocked on her door and asked if her name was Fakhira Amani.
As soon as she said yes they started singing happy birthday to her and gave her the piece of cake!
Netizens found the video heartwarming with many praising the frontliners for their tireless efforts and others saying they deserve a pay raise.
It’s definitely touching to see our frontliners not only taking care of us and keeping us safe but also help people that are going through quarantine feel happy too!
