A university in Hamburg, Germany is reportedly looking for applicants to do literally nothing and they're paying well too!
The University of Fine Arts in Hamburg is offering a paid scholarship worth RM7,900 (€1,600) in order to have a better understanding of laziness in the world around us.
If you think you’re good at doing literally nothing, you can apply away! But only three applicants will be chosen to secure the grant!
The application form will ask you four questions – “what you do not want to do, how long you wish not to do it, why you think it is important not to do this in particular, and what makes you the right person to not do the task.”
The man behind the project, Friedrich von Borries, said that, “it is about exiting the constant success spiral, getting off life’s hamster wheel.”
“We want to focus on ‘active inactivity’. If you say you are not going to move for a week, then that is impressive. If you propose to not move and think, then that might be better.”
The offer got the attention of people around the world, with many asking their friends and family members to sign up for the scholarship project.
Looks like people can’t say that you can’t earn money by just sitting around doing nothing anymore… that’s if you’re not too lazy to send in your application...
