Five new actors have been confirmed to be joining Kristen Bell (who will return as the narrator and voice of gossip girl's character) in the new series focused on the life of the privileged teens of the upper east side!

The new Gossip Girl series will be set eight years after Dan Humphrey’s Gossip Girl website is shutdown and follows a new generation of New York private school teens that are thrown under Gossip Girl’s social surveillance!

The only character that was revealed is Audrey who will be portrayed by Emily Alyn Lind and her character is described to always be wondering if there’s something better out there than her current long-term relationship.

Showrunner/executive producer Joshua Safran said that the new series will also focus on how social media and the landscape of New York City has changed since the original show ended in 2012.

"It is very much dealing with the way the world looks now, where wealth and privilege come from, and how you handle that," said Safran. "The thing I can’t say is there is a twist, and that all relates to the twist."

Many fans are still not over the original cast and want to see Blake Lively and Leighton Meester return as Serena and Blair, but others are excited to see what the new cast has to offer too!

What are your thoughts on the new Gossip Girl series and cast? Let us know!
